After introducing HADO to Coventry, we saw that its potential went far beyond entertainment and competition. Its combination of technology, movement and teamwork created new ways for people to engage with physical activity.
HADO Coventry CIC was established to use that potential for wider community benefit, working with schools, community organisations and local partners to make innovative sport accessible to more people.
Many people across Coventry experience barriers to physical activity, including cost, lack of confidence, limited access to engaging sports, social isolation, and inequalities affecting young people, disabled people, and underserved communities. Traditional sports do not appeal to everyone, creating a need for new and inclusive ways to encourage participation.
We design inclusive opportunities that welcome people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds, particularly those who may face barriers to traditional physical activity.
